It Started With a SCAM

We almost got scammed by someone pretending to be Sullen.

Back in 2024, we got an email that looked like it came from Sullen.

Everything checked out—branding, message, even the email itself.

They said they had been watching what we were doing and wanted to work with us.

All we had to do was cover shipping on the first drop.

It almost worked.

We passed it around the shop and were close to moving forward.

But something didn’t sit right.

So we reached out directly to Sullen—and found out it wasn’t them.

Just people impersonating the brand.

The real team got back to us right away. Clear, professional, and respectful.

A few months later, we were at the Evergreen Tattoo Convention.

That’s where we met Hoon.

Then not long after, we connected with Mohawk Matt.

He came out to the shop, spent time with us, and got tattooed by the team.

Completely different experience—real people, real connection.

Not long after that, we became an authorized Sullen dealer.

Now we carry Sullen in-shop here at Desire Art and Ink in Salem.

What started as a scam turned into something real.
